چکیده
<p>The aim of the present research work is to investigate hydrodynamic characteristics (pressure distribution, rotational speed, thrust and torque) conventional B-series composite propeller blade. The open water efficiency for scaled model blade computed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) fluent simulation tool. obtained numerical results show that will operate at optimum given speed condition perform with reduced other operational speeds. responses are also validated standard data which verifies accuracy robustness approach in analyzing performance propellers. deviation solution ranges from 5 15% case thrust, 10-20% torque. Pressure estimation usually quite accurate a 5-8% variation. tabular pressure distribution over may be used further structural analysis</p>

Introduction PROPELLER [1] is a variant of multi-shot FSE technique, providing a high-resolution DWI with excellent immunity to offresonance. Its self-navigated nature around the center of K-space also allows for motion correction. The odd/even echo phase inconsistencies in the non-CPMG echo train were addressed using the “split-blade” method [2], where the blade width was reduced by a factor o...

Hydrodynamic analysis of the marine propulsors with complex geometry such as podded drive systems, ducted propellers, and waterjet systems are more complicated than conventional propeller systems. This fact has caused the usage and development of numerical methods and techniques. The hybrid method to couple the Blade Element Momentum Theory (BEMT) with Reynolds-Averaged Navier Stokes method (RA...
متن کاملAccurate capture of rudder-propeller interaction using a coupled blade element momentum-RANS approach
Ship rudders are almost always placed downstream of the propeller so they can take advantage of the increased local velocity due to the presence of the propeller race. The methods discussed in this paper replicate the flow integrated effects of the propeller which generates an accelerated and swirled onset flow onto the rudder. As long as the radial variation in axial and tangential momentum (i...
متن کاملAccurate capture of propeller-rudder interaction using a coupled blade element momentum-RANS approach
The physically correct capture of propeller-rudder interaction is important if ship self-propulsion parameters are to be accurately predicted. Full resolution of a time accurate computational fluid dynamics calculation based on the Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes equations requires a significant computational resource. The axial and tangential accelerations generated in the flow by the passage ...
متن کاملDynamic Response of a Composite Propeller Blade Subjected to Shock and Bubble Pressure Loading
The interaction between an underwater explosion and a composite propeller involves several physical phenomena that an accurate numerical simulation needs to capture. These include proper description of the initial explosion shock wave, of its propagation in the water, and of its interaction with the propeller blades and any other neighboring boundaries. In this work, a numerical procedure which...
